What We Do

Shared Research Operations (SRO) supports the educational, research, and outreach missions of Texas State University in several complex laboratories across campus. These facilities host more than 50 pieces of sophisticated equipment utilized by faculty, student, staff, and external users with diverse backgrounds primarily in science and engineering disciplines.  Our team of technical staff, graduate assistants, and student workers serve the SRO user base by providing equipment maintenance, in-depth training, and assistance with unique research challenges.  In this way, the SRO impacts numerous sponsored research programs, university-industry collaborations, coursework, and outreach efforts that all contribute to our shared goal of achieving Tier 1 research status.
